Bollywood has suffered another jolt. Yet another prolific actor has passed away. Actor Asif Basra died at the age of 53. As per the reports, the actor died by suicide as he was found hanging in his rented apartment in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh. The news has sent a shock wave in the industry. Many celebrities took to their respective social media accounts to express shock and grief. Many are unable to believe that Asif Basra died by suicide.

Filmmaker Hansal Mehta wrote, "Asif Basra! Can't be true... This is just very, very sad." Replying to his tweet, Manoj Bajpayee wrote, "What? This is too shocking!! Shot with him just before Lockdown!!! Oh My God!!!" Filmmaker Rahul Dholakia tweeted, "Shocked to hear about Basra!! What a wonderful actor and a jovial fellow - I mean why would he ??  Very Sad - Had directed  him in Parzania ( Chagan) , in Lamhaa ( the Darzee ) - and also in society - Very sad to hear about his passing !! #asifbasra Hope you are at peace." Kareena Kapoor Khan and Anushka Sharma too offered their condolences. 

Actor Emraan Hashmi tweeted Rest In Peace Asif Basra while Swara Bhasker wrote a big No while sharing the news of his death. Divya Dutta too mourned Asif Basra's death and wrote, "Terribly shocked to hear about @asifbasra s untimely demise. We shot togetger for #hostages2. Looked sucha happy free spirited man! And was Sucha fab actor!! Rip  Asif. this is hard to digest." Casting director Mukesh Chhabra remembered their journey together from Kai Po Che to Hostages 2. Check out the tweets below:
